FAQ

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that sometimes extraordinary circumstances are unavoidable and you may need to change your schedule. We kindly ask that you give us 24 hours notice if you cancel your appointment. If 24 hours notice is not given, you will be charged 50% of your service fee. Missed appointments or “no shows” are subject to a charge in the amount of the full service. Cancellations and “no shows” leave gaps in our schedules that cannot be filled without timely notice. This notification courtesy enables us to schedule another client and, in turn, maintains a higher availability of services for you as well as others.

What happens if I’m late for my appointment?
Due to scheduling commitments to other clients’ schedules, we may need to reschedule any appointment for which you are more than 10 minutes late.

What can I use the rewards points I earn for?
Points are redeemable towards discounts off retail purchases. We keep track of your points and print them on your receipts so you always know how many points you have accumulated. Every 500 points is equivalent to $5 off a retail purchase, and no more than 1,500 points can be used at one time.

How do I earn points?
Earn 500 points when you refer a friend to our salon. Earn 200 points when you reserve your future reservation at the time of your service.

How do I re-order my favorite products?
Several of our popular product lines have online ordering, and you get free shipping when you place an order over $50. Many times you get samples in your shipments as well. Look for the Shop Now links on our products page. (CLICK HERE).

What’s the Protégé Salon?
Protégé by Cutting Loose Salon is our internal training program for stylists where our guests have access to reduced price services. Our Protégé Stylists are licensed professionals who are actively striving to master their craft and are chosen to be mentored by a Master Stylist.

What is French haircutting?
French haircutting accentuates your unique facial features and takes into account the shape of your head. Think of your face as the light and your hair as the shadow. Your stylist will stand you up to cut the outline, then build your haircut from the top down to get soft, moving layers. Our French haircuts result in sexy wash-and-wear hair containing several different looks in each style.

What is French Balayage?
French balayage is the method of painting highlights onto the hair. This technique allows your stylist to embrace the artistry of hairdressing by couturing the highlight placements to complement you. Unlike foil highlights, the technique disguises unwanted re-growth lines and creates a more natural, sophisticated, and dimensional look.
